About Drew

Drew Pizzo dedicated his life to film at the age of 12, he made short movies in his back yard with his friends until he finished high school. He graduated from the John Russo Movie Making Program at the DuBois Business College in 2012. He was mentored by the co-creators of the original 1968 “Night of the Living Dead” John Russo and Russ Streiner. While he was in college he learned that his cinematography was his strongest skillset and began working freelance jobs four months into the program.

Upon graduation, Mr. Pizzo was immediately requested as a Director of Photography for various projects. He worked with Jibberjazz Productions creating multiple music festival promotional videos. Later on in 2012, Mr. Pizzo was hired to work on his first full feature film called “Man in a Box.”

In early 2013, he began working with Dorothy Cinema shooting multiple weddings per year. As time went on his also worked behind the scenes on “The Living” staring Fran Kranz, Chris Mullkey and Janelle Carter. On set his responsible for multiple jobs such as 2nd Assistant Camera, DIT, Behind the Scenes Photographer and Gun Master.

In September 2013, Drew was hired to shoot his second feature called “Arisen.” Shortly after the project began, Drew was promoted to co-director. Drew’s love for horror movies got “Arisen” finished early in 2014.

Immediately after “Arisen” Drew Pizzo put together his own short film called “My Last Note” currently in the film festival circuit. Once that was completed, he also was hired to shoot “The Stall” his third feature film in just under two years. In record time he and his production team completed the film in 9 days.

Drew Pizzo already has multiple projects in line for 2014 such as “Variety”, “I Saw”, “Please Pass the Corn”, “The Uprising”, “Love Dies”, “Shadow Slayer”, and “Redneck Serial Killer”. In the meantime Drew Pizzo resides in a rural community where he has begun writing his first full length feature film with the working title of “Back Road.” For more information and to contact Drew Pizzo for your next project, please visit .
