The TV industry is booming with opportunities across the U.S., creating the perfect moment for emerging writers to break through. With the demand for fresh voices and innovative content, now is the ideal time to position yourself for success. One of the most effective ways to gain attention in this competitive landscape is by securing a skilled and reputable showrunner for your project. Networks and streamers are drawn to writers who can collaborate with experienced showrunners to bring a vision to life. By attaching the right showrunner, you not only boost your project’s chances of success but also strengthen the credibility of your career!

Many writers assume that attaching any showrunner will automatically enhance their project, but that’s a misconception. A mismatch can actually harm your chances of selling your show. Finding the right showrunner involves more than just matching names; it requires strategic timing, a clear understanding of fit, and effective outreach. Without the proper tools or expert guidance, it's easy to make critical mistakes—like sending weak queries or contacting the wrong person—each of which can lead to missed opportunities.

That's where Jeff Nemon comes in. Jeff is a seasoned film and TV executive who’s been on the frontlines of Hollywood for over 15 years. With his insider expertise, Jeff will guide you through the process of finding and securing the perfect showrunner for your project! Jeff has sold more than 50 TV projects to major networks and streamers like Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. As the former SVP of Development at Maniac Productions, he oversaw 30 projects for Blumhouse TV.

This exclusive 2-part Stage 32 class will equip you with the essential tools to elevate your project. Jeff will guide you through researching showrunners, crafting impactful queries, and confidently reaching out. You’ll gain insights into avoiding common mistakes, mastering the development process, and learning the best practices for when and how to approach showrunners. By the end of the class, you’ll have a clear, actionable strategy for attaching the perfect showrunner to match your project and vision.

This interactive class is held on Zoom and goes substantially more in depth than a Stage 32 webinar. Best of all? As soon as you sign up you will be linked on email with your Stage 32 Educator and given a questionnaire to fill out and send back to them. You will have access to your Educator for the duration of your class by email to ask them any questions you have about your craft or career - it’s like having a mentor on demand! And, if you can't make a live session, don't worry! All class recordings will be available 48 hours after each session and you will be able to view them in your Library on your Stage 32 profile. Finally, you can expand your network with like-minded creatives - you'll have a dedicated lounge for interactive support and discussions with your fellow classmates!
