The TV industry is evolving faster than ever. With streaming platforms multiplying and a flood of content, it’s no longer enough to have a great idea – you need to know how to sell it. The key to success in today’s crowded market is understanding what buyers want and how to position your project to stand out. This class gives you the insights and tools to transform your pitch into a TV show that can make it to the screen.
So many writers hit a wall after finishing their scripts. They’ve got something amazing but no clue how to take that next step. Pitch meetings can feel like a mystery – what do producers, studios, or networks really want to hear? The truth is, there are some big mistakes that can mess up your chances, like not knowing how to structure your pitch, misunderstanding what executives expect, or failing to line up your project with current trends. This class cuts through that confusion, giving you the know-how to move confidently through the pitching process and avoid those common roadblocks.
Jeff Nemon, a veteran film and TV executive, brings over 15 years of experience to this class. He has worked on some of the biggest shows on TV and sold over 50 shows to nearly every major streamer, network, and studio. Jeff’s extensive background in pitching, development, and production makes him the perfect guide to help you navigate the complex process of selling your series.
Throughout this four-part class, you will gain a complete understanding of the TV development process. You’ll learn how to craft the perfect pitch, navigate meetings with executives, and position your project for success in today’s market. By the end, you’ll walk away with the confidence to pitch your TV series and the tools to take it from an idea to a show that’s ready for the screen!
