So he commented on one of my posts and asked if I could do illustrations for his project. I asked him for the details, he got in touch via email. He asked me to do the illustrations for the entire series. There were both characters and locations. He wanted me to do it all, and be paid after everything would have been done, but I always charge per milestone, which was per illustration, in this case. So, I had developed and illustrated the first. I asked him to transfer the money after sending him his desired file of the artwork, and shared the details on where to send it. He'd agreed on the rate and everything, but he kept delaying for a week, saying that he was having trouble transferring. How tough is an IBAN transfer? I even asked him to go for MoneyGram or sth similar if that works for him. Anyway, he kept delaying for a week or two and after that, he's just been out of the scene, totally.

Also, the text in your post doesn't show up on the web browser version of Stage 32. I can see the text in the Stage 32 app though.

I hate hearing about this. Sorry this happened to you, Isha. My only advice it to watermark your work in the future, send the proofs with watermarks, and after payment send the files without the watermark.

Be careful in the future! I've only been on Stage 32 for two weeks and already have been approached by TWO scammers. Always check people out first(Online, LinkedIn, your own private film industry network) and also have a proper contract or copyright agreement signed before sharing anything. I don't know what kind of work it was but there could be a possibility that you can do something legal about it. Don't give up! Fight!
