I have no idea how this happened. This isn't a parody movie - its a Francis Ford Coppola film. What do you think? https://variety.com/2024/film/news/lionsgate-pulls-megalopolis-trailer-o...

Who signed off on the trailer? And, of course, what were they thinking?

I mean, there are fuckups, and then there's this. Crazy! These quotes are so easily verifiable and/or debunked, it only took folks a few hours to disprove them. Initially it seemed like an interest angle for marketing the film, and now you're just face palming at how strange this movie's journey continues to be!

Sam Sokolow oh my, what a cock up. If I was FFC, I’d want some kind of redress. You’d think with all of Lionsgate’s experience, that kind of thing wouldn’t occur.

It’s not the first time. Anyone remember David Manning?

Mike Boas nope, I can’t say I do. And maybe that’s because of a similar cock-up?

Tax write off for Lionsgate; predictable this movie will bomb opening weekend but it wont matter. FFC is still FFC.

David Manning was Sony’s fake critic back in 2000. Used for fake pull quotes in advertising.
