Screenwriting : Pitch Deck by Andrea Zurlo

Pitch Deck

I have looked at hundreds of templates and information, but I wonder if anyone has a good piece of advice on how to prepare a good pitch deck?

Nick Waters

Hi Andrea Zurlo, I recommend you look at some of the great education here on Stage 32. We have a ton of resources to help you get your pitch in great shape:

Consider perspective and the impression you want to create. How can you communicate that to someone else quickly? You know what you did and what you want. Why should the person who is looking at your work want to do something?

GiGi Raines

Hi Andrea! Anna Henry is amazing for helping writers get their pitch decks together. She has a webinar that explains in detail and you can also meet with her in person to go over your work in person. Feel free to write me at success@stage32.com to get the links!

Lotta "you gotta make my film because of...", anyways, I'm graphic designer, affordable and expeditious, drop me a DM, we can talk more...

Dont do it alone. Have a team to collab (rep, director, actor, DP, designer...) before you spend time on spec pitch decks.

CJ Walley

ScriptHop have pretty much written the bible on this. They are actual industry members. Check out their advisory board.

I suggest checking out Michelle Alexandria's webinar, Andrea Zurlo. "How To Put Together A Perfect Pitch Deck For Your Movie" (www.stage32.com/webinars/How-to-Put-Together-a-Perfect-Pitch-Deck-for-yo...). It's an incredible webinar, and I've worked with Michelle personally on pitch decks. She REALLY knows her pitch deck stuff.

Andrea Zurlo Learn how from a class and then have someone proof it for you. There are some aspects of it that seem simple but that's only in appearance. This is one thing you'll want to have someone double-check.

Andrea Zurlo

Thank you all for your pieces of advice. I have a graphic designer at home, at least there is one thing free of charge (apart from food :-)) I'll take a look at the links you shared. Heartfelt thanks!

Have great photos/images to immediatley connect story/tone/characters on a visual level.

You're welcome, Andrea Zurlo.

Great advice, M LaVoie. I do that. Check a pitch deck on my phone. It really helps to catch mistakes.

Andrea, checking out completed pitch decks is also a great way to learn what kind of style and vision you like and don't like. What things are you drawn to? What works and doesn't work in the decks? What do the ones you think are great have in common
