Frank Van Der Meijden

My script The Swim made it to the quarter finals as well! Of course I'm very happy to be positioned amid all these great and creative writers. The Swim is not about Christmas, but about summer holidays (a coming-of age-story) were a teenage boy in a dramatic situation learns everything about love, friendship, death and - of course - growing up faster than he wished for.

Congratulagions to all the other quarter finalists too!

Congratulations, Frank Van Der Meijden!

Thanks Maurice and Tammy!

And sorry for the typo: *were a teenage boy - should be: ‘where a teenage…’

You're welcome, Frank Van Der Meijden.

Congrats, everyone!!!!

Congrats to all in the Quarterfinals (Holiday Movie Screenwriting contest)! So happy to join you with "Poor On'ry People" … if you know the lyrics to "I Wonder as I Wander," you recognize where that title comes from. And the antagonist is an ornery dad who is frustrated with his ASD boy 's fixation on a toy car. Fortunately a discharged PTSD soldier reluctantly self-recruits and enlists a pretty coworker to mediate just in time for Christmas. A kind of mystery, rom-com, feel-good drama.

Congratulations on "Poor On'ry People" being a Quarterfinalist, Jan Dalby!
