REQUESTED BY B.E.T. and Scooty Woop Entertainment

I forgot to post that about 2 weeks or so ago, I got requested by the two aforementioned companies. One of the companies actually wanted to hear more than one of my works, so that was kinda cool, for someone to WANT to hear more of your work. So in addition to being requested by Benderspink a few days before, I think it was a pretty good week. As I said before, I am excited, but not trying to get too excited, because i'm gonna be super sad if nothing happens. lol BUT, I am going to stay positive and pray. Interesting that I sent a pitch to ABC along with BET and ABC couldnt really "connect" with my pilot show... but then BET wanted a read. So I guess, just because a company says "No" doesnt mean that you aren't on to something great with your work, it just may not be what they are looking for at the time. Until then, I am in the waiting process, and always checking my email and my spam mail, awaiting the day someone gives me a GREENLIGHT! Like before, thank you thank you thank you to Joey! Good luck to everyone, and keep working, keep writing and keep trying. You only live once, soo you might as well chase after your dreams! LETS GO!

CONGRATS!!

Jan Evans

Congrats! And yes indeed, just because somebody says "no" it doesn't mean your work isn't viable. It simply means it's not right for them. As you see, your work WAS interesting to somebody else. Fingers crossed for you! Looking forward to that GREENLIGHT post!

NW musicians/songwriters/composers with original music: This Sat, Oct 18, 2014, 9am to noon, thru North Seattle (Community) College. Fun class to get your music in film and TV. I've recently got music on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, a Coke Zero national radio campaign, and a TV news theme playing all day long on an 24 hr news station in India! It will motivate you to write more music than you can believe, and actually pay you for it, along with potential back-end royalties for years to come. I get calls and emails for requests weekly. Music in the media will also drive listeners to CD sales, websites, etc. Imagine a song on HBO, or sitting in a theatre and hearing it. You will never watch movie credits the same. It takes some effort, but once your music is out there, it just waits to be used somewhere, and checks do start to roll in. The class has some room, so check the link below (you need to register - $49, via NSC Continuing Ed (you don't need to be a student) PS: A mini version of this class will be offered at the TAXI Road Rally in LA in Nov for TAXI members. Great spirit and attitude towards it, I am pretty much on the same page. I say no matter what the outcome of this one, you know you are of an interest to great companies at the end of the day, and when the timing is right, you'll get it.
