Introduce Yourself : A little later than I expected! by Kimberly Gauger

A little later than I expected!

Hi all, my name is Kim Gauger. My partner and I have started a company called Grumpy Man Productions. We've written a script for a 30 minute Mockumentary based on retail experiences. We have filmed our 10 minute sizzle reel. We had a great director (Andy Lauer from Caroline in the City) and were able to get Amy Pietz (Caroline in the City, The Office) and Tia Carrera (Wayne's World) to star in it. We've had a couple of companies look at it, but not buy. Anyone have any ideas of how to get more companies to agree to see it? Its really good (but I do have to say, the young man that plays the lead in the sizzle misled us on his experience in comedy, which doesn't help at all), but the script and concept are completely new and there is nothing like it on TV right now. Also, the main character is Hispanic. When I say that, I don't mean a stereotypical hispanic, I mean a real person in the real United States, wanting to just raise his family, go on vacations and just be a good person. Thats what I think stands out about our show. There are no racial jokes, we are all just people making fun of each others personalities or experiences that happen in REAL life. I would love any feedback I can get. This is my first project, and my first love.

"Office Space" goes prole! Worked a lot of retail, myself. Certainly no shortage of "situations" there.

Congratulations on your first project and getting it out there. I'd love to see your sizzle reel if you don't mind.
