Introduce Yourself : Film Director based in Los Angeles by Laura G. Chirinos

When I first started doing production work in earnest a dozen years ago, I heard the phrase, "What do you want to do?" time and time again. For a while, my standard answer was, "Anything! I just want to be creative!" The entertainment industry has morphed incredibly since the advent of the internet, reality television and VOD/streaming, a hundred times over what it did in the eighty years before. And over the last decade, but really more the last three years, I have learned that I DO NOT want to do just "anything": I want to make narrative films. Beautiful moving pictures full of emotion and visceral sensuality. Some of my favorite film makers include Billy Wilder, Paul Thomas Anderson, Rob Reiner (1984-1989), Michael Powell & Emeric Pressburger, The Coen Brothers, John Hughes, Richard Linklater, and Steve McQueen.
