I'm a longtime independent creative with a roster of award-winning properties seeking professional partners with studio experience. I'm addicted to this site's amazing webcasts/educational programs, and RB nudged me today to introduce myself instead of lurking on these forums. I run Cinevore Studios, a boutique production company the Greater Philadelphia area that specializes in smart comedy. I'm most well known for my work on "Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie" and "MST3K Turkey Day" as well as dozens of successful viral geek/gamer digital projects. I'm also the co-founder of a 501(c)3 media arts non-profit, Project Twenty1. I have an office based on a brand new arts district that I co-founded, a small, but talented and loyal production team. I have a strong track record of bootstrapping independent/cult projects, but in order to take my company and my content to the next level, I need: -A mentor to help me achieve my goal of becoming an Emmy-award-winning show runner (Don't laugh; I dream big and it works!) -An experienced producer to partner with relationships with television networks seeking original scripted content for TV (we have many properties available, but I am personally focused on a half-hour quirky comedy ala "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", based on a Nancy Pearl award-winning book) -A line producer that understands the ins and outs of TV budgeting. I've budgeted over 100 Philadelphia non-union productions (narrative, live events, and commercial), but TV budgeting is not my area of expertise and I don't want to look unprepared when I take meetings. I should also mention, while my heart in Philadelphia, I have infrastructure in place to operate everything I've built over the last decade in my absence should I need to relocate for a legitimate opportunity. I've attached a link to a playlist for "Moot", a series I write and produce that is airing on WHYY-TV (PBS Philadelphia affiliate) as a part of "Articulate with Jim Cotter". Sincere thanks for your time and consideration.
