Your Stage : Before the Film funding and distribution by Wilfredo Aqueron

First and foremost, I will love to congratulate everybody who is here researching and brainstorming your career path. However, I have descide to write about this subject since I often encounter talented filmmakers and producer getting stuck on the distribution and promotion phase of their film. Every time, I am aske "how can I make money with my film?" I reply the same: 1-who is your market segment and how big it is. 2-what are the comparable (at least 3) 3-how many people in your segment can you reach? 4-what is the conversion rate? 5-what's your projected revenue per dolar invested in promotions. Sadly, most of filmmaker have an idea, but they don't spend the time to get the numbers. The matter of the fact is that we are all artist, but for most of us, we have to be business people as well. The reason, when you pich a film or production to a group if investors, they want to know this information. (They are investors) they need to know how much they are getting back even after the worst care escenario. I have compiled some useful information, and divided by weeks.
