So, earlier this year, I was named as the Grand Prize Winner for Stage 32's Feature Screenwriting Contest and good things keep coming from the exposure that got me. l'll be back out in LA next week to meet with the producers of the movie I was hired for as I continue to work on the script. Plus, I've got another meeting with a major studio that we are creating some pitches for, so I'm buzzing with excitement and expect good things to keep coming. Never give up, never quit, and keep writing/acting/voice acting/directing/composing/creating, whatever it is you love to do.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. As for how my trip went - it was great. I just finished up the rewrite for the film I'm working on, awaiting the next round of notes from the producers, and my meeting with my contact at the major studio went great as well - it's really just a matter of time before I'm doing some work for them directly and I'm already about halfway through the script for one pitch and will be developing another one for them very soon.
