Hi everyone. I've been a Stage 32 member for a long time. This is a great place to grow and learn. I have a background in entertainment PR, working with filmmakers for over 30 years. I have been the media relations manager and red carpet publicist for the LA Jewish Film Festival for the past 10+ years. I just got off a call with a new documentary filmmaker and wow did we hit it off. I gave this filmmaker great ideas with details on what a filmmaker needs to be ready for a good PR campaign. We talked about what kind of production stills you would want to have, what kind of written material you would need, posters, and what media outlets you would initially want to think about. It turns out that there is a lot to think about when you want to get media coverage. If you are curious about PR for your film or series, I'm here to help.

Ah, yes! PR! Such an underappreciated talent and often thought about too late in the process. I expect you'll be very sought out after this post. Perhaps you should make and link to a "required reading" cheat sheet!

What a great job you have! I never heard this done before, but has anyone considered screenwriters getting PR to market their scripts if we don't have an agent or manager? Could be a new niche! What are your thoughts on this?
Love your vibe!

That's so kind of you! A good PR campaign/strategy can really make a big difference!
Nice! I agree that PR is underestimated. I'm wondering: I heard that you should never try to contact an agent by yourself, that they should be the ones contacting you. But how can an agent find you?
