Having two books published was scary, but turning them into a t.v. series is even scarier. I just submitted my first written pitch a couple of weeks ago. I'm anxious about the feedback, but at the very least, I'll get some tips on how to improve my writing. Onward and upward! Good luck everyone!
All the best with the process. Are you writing the TV series yourself or trying to find someone else to do it for you?
I wish you great success Janice! You'll find much encouragement here.
Congratulations on submitting your first written pitch, that's fantastic! Have you considered seeking out a mentor to continue helping you improve your writing? Definitely check out the mentorship opportunity with Mike Gauyo, writer from HBO's Insecure and Ginny & Georgia: https://www.stage32.com/happy-writers/contests/Black-Boy-Writes-Media-and-Stage-32-present-Black-Boy-Writes-and-Black-Girl-Writes-Mentorship-Initiative
Also, be sure to check out the Authoring Lounge, as other novelists may have some insight on how best to make the switch to screenwriting: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/playwriting
Keep at it, and keep us posted on your progress!
Congrats and good luck!
Katherine Blessan I'm writing it myself along with my brother. Learned a lot on this platform and on my own.
Karen "Kay" Ross I will be sure to check out your recommendations. Thanks
@david c. velasco Thanks! I wish you great success too.
@Bernie Rosa Thanks! Good Luck to you too!
I've been doing the same with my own novel. Quite a process though! It started off as a feature and now a few years later it's morphing into a TV drama.

Best wishes with that! I’m writing a series as well. Originally it was a feature and it’s been a (good) challenge. Keep on it. And onward!
