Hey everyone, my name is Raul Barquet and I’m a New York City based creative who is new to filmmaking! My first short documentary “Flint. For Those Who Dare…” follows an early graffiti writer / photographer and is currently making its festival run.
At the moment I’m reading lots of books and articles on writing and producing so any recommendations are greatly appreciated!
Im also working on writing several screen plays including a film noir, a rom com set in the art world and a horror film as well. If anyone is interested in these projects or is NYC based and would like to connect don’t hesitate to reach out!

Welcome to Stage 32 and filmmaking, Raul Barquet. A rom com set in the art world sounds interesting. What sub-genre is your Horror script?

Raul Barquet the most famous grafffiti artist in the world, is perhaps from my home town, Bansky. I'm not sure if he's ventured to NY with his work, though.
Well done on your festival run, Raul. It's also great to see you on the IYW.

Geoff Hall Banksy does make it to NY from time to time and always creates a huge stir when he does!

Maurice Vaughan I think the rom com will have some legs once finished. The horror script is a possession story, more in line with Amittyville than Exorcist.

Cool, Raul Barquet. I've seen one of the Amityville movies. The one with Ryan Reynolds.
