Logline/Outline for an Animated Feature

Hi you good people!

I have had an idea for an animated feature, which could more or less be counted as a logline. Should I try to pitch the idea to screenwriters and/or producers, or is there another route I shoulder consider going about with this project? I would appreciate all the feedback and suggestions you may have. Please feel free to leave a note here or in the inbox.

Cheers,

Isha M.

Hi Isha!

I just started here too and was told that this is the best place to have your scripts looked at by other writers for some feedback. I’d advise to make sure your pilot, logline and pitch is perfected and consulted and then start moving on to pitch to executives and producers whenever you feel confident about it.

Good luck! I’m here if you’d like someone to read about your animated film and provide feedback.

Hi Isha Mital, I'd definitely recommend creating a pitch document so that you and the person you're pitching to know that the idea is fully fleshed out. We should have some sample pitch material formats, if you want to reach out to success@stage32.com. We're always happy to help!

Elie de Rosen

Isha Mital. It's great to hear you want to make an animated film. I agree with Brandon. You'll need to make sure you have a logline, short pitch and script ready to go. Send the logline/pitch to the producer of your choice (I'd recommend using either Stage32 or Virtual Pitch Fest). If they're interested, they'll ask to see the script.

Thanks Elie de Rosen I appreciate your response. Perfect, I need a lot to do, so I'll get to work hehe.

Hey, thanks David Abrookin

I'll look into it and will leave a note.

Thanks Brandon Corbin

I'll try to make it look decent enough and then if I need some help, I'll get in touch if that's okay with you.

Isha Mital, we also have an Animation Lounge, which is a great place to get advice and feedback on animation-specific questions. You can find that lounge here: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/animation

Isha Mital

Oh, thanks, Ashley Renee Smith

I'll look into it.

As a writer, you can now use AI to animate your feature at little to no cost. Create a promo trailer to show and when you put together a small team, everything will go faster, We just completed 3 animated features in 14 months and we're now rendering the first in 8k IMAX quality.

Hi there, Len. Glad the AI assist is working for you so far. Given all the upside/downside, copy vs. create, regulation vs. wild west debates about it, might you have any first-hand observations you can pass on to others about what to watch out for, what to not do, and such? Thanks..
