Hello everyone.
I have not introduced myself in awhile and here it goes!
This is why I write:
I grew up around the industry as a kid.
My Uncle was a Sound Producer for Universal Studios for 34 years and he was honored to have worked with Howard Hughes and my dad got the golden watch given to my uncle from Mr. Hughes when he retired.
I got to eat with my uncle, ask questions, go to his massive house on a hill overlooking LA, all of this made a big impression on me and why I love movies and writing.
Since I was a child I went to the movies pretty much every weekend as a kid and worked hard at my
dad´s service station and or mowed or raked lawns for the money I needed for the ticket and snacks. I guess you could say, it is in my blood.
Thanks for reading!

Clint Eastwood is an incredible actor, Mark Deuce! My favorite experience going to the movies as a kid was when I saw TMNT II: THE SECRET OF THE OOZE. I was about 3 and a half. My dad bought me a Tokka action figure right before we saw the movie.

I loved to hear a little more about you Mark. :) Thanks for sharing your story! It's fascinating to hear about your unique experiences growing up around the industry. Could you tell us more about the kinds of projects your uncle worked on and how they influenced your writing style or the themes you explore in your work today?

He worked on all of Mr. Hughes films and when we went out for dinner he would pour out really cool stories and things that he said and did. I also cherished all of the autographs he gave me as well.

I'm sure the experience of working with Hughes alone kept him stocked in bar stories for a lifetime.

Hi Mark! Impressive post! I'd love to connect and talk more. My late cousin George Axelrod co-wrote the 1952 three-act play " The Seven Year Itch" with Billy Wilder and also worked on the screenplay adaptation. So I guess the A&E is somewhat in my blood too--just a late bloomer on this end...:)
