We started producing a web series, adult content.... not X rated (no nudity, violence or cursing) but definitely adult content. Its on Blip, Vimeo and Youtube. You can see it at http://interruptus.net I have no idea how to promote it. Anyone??

By making something people want to watch. They pretty much do the rest.
So what did you think of what we produced?

Truth? Pretty painful. The opening shot goes on for too long, looks like amateur porn. If I didn't know this was supposed to be a narrative piece, I would have clicked off immediately. The framing and lighting are terrible. The audio is nice and clear, and whoever's doing the sound design is on the ball. The white balance is consistently off. The parts that are ADR are really obvious. Truthfully, I'm not seeing any compelling character intro or dialogue that would make me watch this as anything but a favor.

This is a start. It has promise from the pilot. Do the usual social media, link up with some other filmmakers and have them help promote on their social links as well. We should all be supporting each other as much as possible.

You can try Tumbler. Facebook might reject it because of the opening scene.

But the experts have done years of experimentation and can save you weeks if not months of hassles. It really comes down to what is your time worth?

You might take a look at Lisa here then: Did you get the latest '3 Things for Performers' Report? Get Media Training, Audition Video & Going Indie? http://tinyurl.com/jwc8kw9 For the success of 2 web series I was a Series Regular in (one is being made into a feature). We aggressively marketed via a newsletter (check out http://www.ShowBizSender.com). We sent something consistently, we did interviews, our cast was encouraged to RT, to repost to share news with their contacts, we produced red carpet events, we had product placement. The biggest thing is to get an email list and push to them. Just relying on posts on FB, Twitter, here, etc. are seconds. People hold on to emails. Track what they click on and give them more of it. Lastly your cast member names in the key words too.
