You welcome! When we refine and polish something with all our care and value, the result is always amazing, but notwithstanding this, we continue to create more and better with SERIOUS INTENTION and already have done!
Give them a personality. Without their own personalities they will never sound real. Before I start writing I think about the characters in the script. And I work them out before start writing. Okay, Step one is to write down the story, step two to write down everything you wish to tell about the characters. This might change the story a lot. Give your characters a personality. Take notes what they are like, and what kind of role they have to fulfill in your script. Hope that helps you a bit. Of course there are still things that might happen while you are writing, but it's a start and the characters become more real and unique.

Trevor... After having the "idea" of my story. I write my characters background: birth, school, family, likes, services, dedication, and weaknesses, religion, philosophy, culture, friends. All for decades. I think the background of each of them and so, when I rush to write, none of my characters sound or resemble each other. Regards, Ivan
