Screenwriting : A funny thing happened whilst waiting for my shorts to get filmed... by Anthony Cawood

As a writer with no film making experience at all, I am entirely at the mercy of the Producers/Directors who pick up my scripts, and the timescales they work to. And as a perfectly normal person (read irrtational and impatient) I totally expect people to make films from my scripts within the same week they option them ;-) Reality of course dawns early as a writer, things just take a long time, and there's very little you can do - except write some more of course! All of which got me to thinking... maybe I can make something myself, with no experience, no equipment etc etc... But where there's will there's a way, or in my case where there's gadgets and technology then there's an alternative to the traditional!
