Inspiration

People that love themselves, change the world.

Yelena Demikovsky

Yes. They do. But for the worst, not for the best,.

Charles Tentindo

Interesting. How you interpreted that. Consider, a mother or any person who hates themselves... Can she truly love her child or anyone else?

Charles Tentindo

Thank you!

Yelena Demikovsky

"We must become the change we wish to see in the world." Mahatma Ghandi

Yelena Demikovsky

Napoleon LOOOved himself, Hitler did too… Stalin… Lenin… Putin… Bush… They all changed the world for the best.

Yelena Demikovsky

If a mother gives her love her child she doesn't have to think about loving herself. She is giver already. If she loves herself, then she will not be a giver to her child.

Geraldine Mongold

I don't really agree. In my experience people who do not have self love have little to give to others. There are too many parents out there who seek love from their children instead of giving it because they lack the wholeness and confidence of self love.

Yelena Demikovsky

How does it change the world though if we talk parents/children love? Loving yourself makes you selfish so forget loving your children then:) If you learn how to RESPECT yourself for your doings, then you will not be selfish…. You will be giving more to your whoever...

Geraldine Mongold

hm, that's a good point, but there's a difference between selfishness and self-love, imho. having been raised by a parent with borderline personality disorder, who is extremely selfish, I would say that self love is something that she has never understood or realized. and, I believe that love and respect are so intertwined as to be inseparable. can't have one without the other, really.

Yelena Demikovsky

Agreed with all that if you just look at loving yourself as a person who "loves others as he loves himself" . But strongly disagree with the idea that those who love themselves change the world. To change the world you have to have a desire and passion and idea to do it, and you try to do it by loving the world and leaving your loving yourself behind.

Tina, I have found the site to be really great. The fact that someone did not agree with a statement I posted....that's ok. There are a lot of good things on this site and just getting a chance to share the work by itself has made it pretty special. Thank you for your comment and hope to support you or encourage you in the fulfillment of your dreams :)

Yelena Demikovsky

Here you go. You are continuing the discussion:) I think we should always learn from Wisdom.. And Wisdom says (I repeat): "We must become the change we wish to see in the world." Mahatma Ghandi I am off. It's true . There is really nothing to discuss. I am new here and thanks to everyone! I had a good exercise of some parts of a brain. But if one makes a statement, the other always will add something.:) Ciao.
