Introduce Yourself : Finally de-lurking :) by Duncan Whitcombe

Finally de-lurking :)

Hi everyone. I have been on this board for a while and thanks to all those who kindly connected with me from all around the world. I have been working with sound for around 30 years including working live, in a recording studio and then CD and album mastering. Over the time I have participated in a few video projects like live concerts and post production for a movies project for a student at one of the local universities. I am interested in learning new stuff so going into a new field of sound would be awesome. So I would be keen to collaborate on any video projects for post production / mastering and/or getting into Theatre sound which is a lot more precise and absolute than what I have been doing before. I am located in Perth, Western Australia so theatre projects would need to be local but post work can be transferred. I also play music (keyboards) and ages ago composed some background music for a geology training video. For a couple of years I was providing the voice for training videos for safety and operational skills for an electrical utility and for 4WD skills. Very interesting and really taught me the value of standard procedures for recording and editing for maximum efficiency. Anyway, before I write an epic essay, I'll sign off. I look forward to getting to know you all better especially those in my back corner of the world. Duncan

Hey Duncan - That's kinda punny ... Film being shadows and light and all. Ha ha Hope you don't mind the joke. :) All the best!!

Duncan Whitcombe

LOL thanks Lesa. I always enjoy puns but I have to admit that was subconscious :) Have an awesome weekend

Good to see you step from the shadows, Duncan. It's better here in the light.
