Introduce Yourself : Director, Writer, Editor from South Africa by Miguel Balona

Allo, allo, allo! I'm a director hailing from the tip of Africa. Born and bred in Johannesburg South Africa I've been a (professional?) film maker for a good 10 years now. I usually direct what I write, and edit what I direct. I'm no David Mamet though, writing definitely the softest of my skills. I've written a number of features, that have just never had much luck with raising finance. Some have even been right at the tip of going into production before having the dollar rug pulled out from under them hah. At the moment prepping a few shorts, a couple to help raise finance for the aforementioned features and a couple because dammit, I wanna shoot stuff!
