About A’ndrea

I’m a multi-medium writer who specializes in telling stories about Black love, Black joy, and Black history. I've had a colorful career including being a mental health therapist, English and Theatre professor, interior designer, indie publisher, and DEI professional. I'm originally from Upstate, New York, yet I've had the pleasure of residing in several states, including California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Virginia, and now Louisiana. My rich experiences greatly impact my creativity and the stories I tell, as I've learned to make use of it all. My writing career began when I attended a performing arts high school as a Creative Writing major. Since then, I've gone on to earn several degrees, including an MFA in Dramatic Writing, published over two dozen literary titles (fiction and nonfiction), written and have had readings and/or productions of seven plays, and have written TV/film adaptations of my literary works, as well as original TV/film scripts not connected to my books. I believe my unique journey has given me the tools to create refreshing content for TV/Film, and I look forward to making connections that will allow audiences to experience my work for years to come.
