A 15-year-old Orah Dokubo with her baby tied around her back, tails a man to a barbershop and murders him in broad daylight with a loaded gun. She abandons her baby boy in Nigeria and goes into exile in the US. Seventeen years later, a teenage Lazarus is arrested at a US airport after being framed for drug trafficking by General Hazah, a corrupt Nigerian army politician and his US attorney, Eli Pope. The two men are also involved in large scale looting and money laundering of Nigerian government funds. For the first time since she left Nigeria, adult Orah, who's now a Chicago highway patrol officer receives a call from her estranged son Lazarus in a federal jail. After their painful reunion and learning the true facts surrounding her son's arrest, Orah fights to get Lazarus exonerated. In the process of trying to cover his tracks, Gen. Hazah sends a vicious murderer after Orah and her family members. After a gruesome attempt on her life, Orah sets out to take down the general and his attorney, and shut down their global money laundering network.
