Have you heard the one about the teacher who became a screenwriter?
Yes, that's Me!
I was a classroom warrior, did 17 years of duty, feeding hungry minds, facing abuse and teenage tantrums of 11-18 year-olds. Teaching them creative writing, media and film studies, film analysis and criticism, film production techniques from idea to script, pre-production to production to post-production, and marketing.
Now, the lifelong yearning to be a screenwriter has matured. I am ambitious to become a professional writer, bringing my experience as a creative arts educator to hone my storytelling skills.
I have written 4 feature film scripts in action, comedy, drama and crime-thriller, and 2 short scripts in fantasy and crime genres. I have 4 limited series versions of the 4 feature film scripts.
I know what it takes to keep 30 boisterous adolescents entertained in a classroom and wanting to learn and excel, and that has translated into the story I write.
I worked as a moderator and examiner for a Media Studies Exam Board. Have been a musician since 15, playing mostly guitar. Have written 150 songs and am recording them for possible release soon.
