About Aina

Aina Järvine is a director of animated films and TV-series who also dabbles in scriptwriting (kids and horror) and writing neo-noir fiction.
Back at the time, a few can remember, Aina studied Drama (acting/directing), Contemporary Dance and English Language & Literature in UK. However, life has its own quirks and in 2001, Aina found herself in an amazing world of animation as a production and producer’s assistant at A Film Estonia. Her love of stories and storytelling quickly took her on to directing animated commercials and short films, including award-winning short “The Little Short-sighted Snake”, which she also wrote. She directed her first TV-series “Frog and Friends” (Netherlands) in 2008-2009.
In 2010, Aina embarked on the path of free-lance director. She has had the privilege of directing five seasons of popular German animated TV-series “Bibi und Tina” and “Bibi Blocksberg”, as well as being an animation supervisor on feature film “Hocus Pocus Alfie Atkins”. Aina’s collaboration with A Film Estonia has also continued with her co-directing short film “The Great Painter” and being one of the writers for A Film Estonia’s feature “Ruby and Raggie”.
In April 2019 Aina wrapped up directing her directorial feature debut “bayala – a Magical Adventure”, produced by Ulysses Filmproduktion GmbH.
Aina is currently busy writing neo-noir fiction, all family action-adventure and horror features, and looking for new challenges and adventures both as director and screenwriter.
