a true crime screenplay, is based on court documents and actual letters and conversations between a current Death Row black prisoner, in “The Hole” for over 40 years, and me, his white advocate, a New York businessman. 

SYNOPSIS:

For ten years, I have researched legal cases for James, discovered evidence for his appeals, performed legal research, contacted his relatives, advanced funds for food and treats to make his time in prison This exposes the injustice, racial bias of the Nevada legal/prison system with its corruption, deception and violence, against one 78-year-old black man who struggles to walk free. Drugs, murder, sex and ambition are interwoven in this grim real crime drama. James has made good use of his time behind bars, doing legal research to help his case from the prison library, filing briefs, giving views to his legal counsel. The viewer meets James, the protagonist, gets to know him, and soon commiserates with him as he battles his antagonist, the Nevada legal/prison system, for his freedom.
