Byron L. Hopkins is an Actor from Denver, Colorado currently residing in Hollywood, California. He was born in Peoria Illinois to Barron Hopkins and Le Angela Law. He is the second oldest child of 4 siblings. Byron was always the class clown and wanted to perform for whoever would listen so he could put a smile on their faces.
Growing up poor in Los Angeles, he and his family didn't have much but they had each other. Byron found his first ways to entertainment as a child when he reenacted TV shows and cartoons with his older brother: Fresh Prince, In living Color, Coming to America, etc. At a young age Byron was a natural entertainer. He excelled in theater and drama from both middle school and high school but knew that wouldn’t save his family from poverty so he ignored his love for movies and television to pursue his sports career as a basketball player instead.
After graduating high school, Byron decided to join the work field in order to pay bills but found himself unfulfilled. He decided to challenge himself and join the United States Marines. Byron served his country with pride for 4 years with two deployments to Afghanistan. He knows he can survive anything Hollywood throws at him if he can handle being blown up and shot at in a hostile territory.
Byron moved back to California to further his career by studying Acting at New York Film Academy. Byron’s outgoing, hilariously funny, and passionate personality has always made him the life of the party. He has a loyal following and greatly appreciates the simplest support in this tough fast-paced industry. Therefore, he is always eager to accept any challenges thrown his way to prove to himself and anyone watching that a young poor child from Chicago made a way and you can to. Byron prides himself on an unmatched determination and work ethic. Byron biggest inspirations are: Denzel Washington, Sidney Poitier, Will smith, Spike Lee, Robin Williams, Jim Carrey and Eddie Murphy.
Byron is extremely happy doing what he loves and expresses very deeply to everyone he meets to always do the same. He lives by this quote by Sidney Poitier "never do an impersonation of yourself. Always be true to every single moment. We don't know how long we have on this planet but as long as were here let us inspire someone from what we do".
