A quiet but perceptive young man attempts to confront the witch accused of kidnapping another village member while his estranged father plans to destroy her.

SYNOPSIS:

Set in the late 1890's, Texas, Rafael is a quiet but perspective young man who is grieving the recent loss of his mother. His small community near Bastrop is struck with fear after a member has mysteriously vanished, the first time for a disappearance to occur in the past 10 years. Rafael's verbally abusive father, Frank, believes the people missing were taken by the witch who lives in the woods. Amidst the grief and restlessness in the community, Rafael strives to keep normalcy in their home while his tormented father and older brother Mike concern themselves with the witch hunt that is gaining more rabid support every day. Outraged by his son's passiveness, Frank's temper comes to a head when older son Mike is taken by the witch, someone whom everyone knows about but has never seen...until Rafael gets involved.
