A writer suddenly awakes in the middle of the night. Inspiration has struck and he must follow its lead. He works through the night on what will be his masterpiece only to find that it will come at a price.

An examination of life around a monastery complex in the South Caucasus located at the foot of a one hundred thirty foot rock outcrop. One of the monks hopes to become the first stylite there in six hundred years.
