Yvonne Ridley

Set off as a print journalist, ex-Fleet Street. Helped launch Aljazeera English online and other start up TV projects including Press TV and Islam Channel. Produced award winning documentary films on the Middle East, Africa and filmed four days inside Guantanamo for film called Inside the Wire. Employed as TV presenter, researcher, author, public relations consultant, defensive PR, script writer, public speaker and media lecturer.
Worked on the set of The Outlander series (as an animal handler, long story when you've got a minute!) and featured in Official Secrets played by actor Hattie Morahan. Working on several new scripts including my latest piece of Scottish historical fiction: The Caledonians, Mr Petrie's Apprentice.
MA in Modern War studies and honorary doctorate in Journalism.
