Writer, Director, Producer, Composer

Haven Johnson is an honors graduate of USC’s School of Cinematic Arts with a BA in Film Production and a minor in Screenwriting. After graduating, he worked as a producer's assistant for three years with Lenny Beckerman (Anonymous Content and Lotus Entertainment) where he assisted in the development and production of multiple studio feature films with Academy Award winning A-List talent.

One of his horror screenplays is currently in development with Emmy-nominated director/producer Rod Blackhurst.

A lifelong writer, he has written over 18 feature films and TV pilots on spec. His screenplays have placed in the semi-finals of the 2021 Stage 32 Search For New Blood Screenwriting Contest, as well as the quarter finals of the 2022 PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, the 2022 ScreenCraft Action & Adventure Screenplay Competition, the 2022 Stage 32 Comedy Feature Screenwriting Contest, the 2021 Stage 32 Sci-Fi/Fantasy Screenwriting Contest, the 2021 Emerging Screenwriters Genre Screenplay Competition, the 2020 ScreenCraft Horror Screenplay Competition, the 2020 Stage 32 Search for New Blood Screenwriting Contest and the 2019 PAGE International Screenplay Awards.

As a producer, he works with the LA based collective/production company Zephyr Entertainment. Our films have premiered at festivals and platforms including Slamdance, Raindance, and Dust. We’ve done commercial work for brands including HBO and GMR Marketing, music videos for multi-platinum selling hip hop recording artists, and produced original web-series distributed on Amazon Prime. Haven has produced individual videos that have generated over twenty million views on youtube alone.

Haven has also directed web-series for Amazon Prime, multiple award winning horror and thriller short films and music videos. His films have debuted and won awards at festivals all over the world. With Zephyr, he is currently developing and producing a slate of low budget horror/thriller films.

Haven is also an award winning multi-instrumentalist musician/composer. His bands have received extensive prime-time FM radio airplay and opened for Grammy winning artists including: Jefferson Airplane, Big Brother and the Holding Company, The Grateful Dead, Y&T and The Doors. He composes the music to all the films he directs and is also a composer for hire.
