About Louis
A former freelance journalist, I've done paid writing gigs, optioned a half-dozen film projects. ghost written several scripts, and placed well in several major competitions. My nonfiction articles have appeared in national publications and my book, 'Gimme Shelter', won an IndieBrag award for nonfiction. Before writing full-time I worked as a story analyst for production companies and talent agencies, and I ran an off-off Broadway theatre company in NYC. Odd facts: I hold a 5th degree black belt in Okinawan Karate, I was a contestant on Jeopardy, and I have dual US-Italian citizenship. My wife and I love rescue dogs, especially pit bulls.
