Arlene Westermeyer Millie West Pen Name

Hi! I'm a screenwriter, but this is my third occupation. My first career was in aviation. I was one of the first female pilots hired by UPS when they formed their flight department in the late 1980s. I later became a real estate broker and ran my own company. When the economy turned down in 2007 and 2008, I started writing. I had always wanted to be a writer, and I suddenly had time to do it. I have published four novels which are set in the Low Country of South Carolina. While I was presenting one of my novels to a library group, a lady told me that she thought the novel should be turned into a movie. That launched my third career. I have now written eight screenplays, mostly about women who accomplish incredible goals. I think my interest in this type of story comes from having been a female pilot, then a broker running my own company. I would like to see my stories told through cinema and would like to work with an agent or manager. I have contacted Stage 32 to hopefully move forward with my scripts.
