AI-Generated 10-min Film: Project Elysium

Seeking videographers in Los Angeles, California

AI-Generated 10-Minute Film Submission – Project Elysium Project Overview Project Elysium is a high-concept, AI-generated sci-fi drama film designed as a pitch for a major streaming platform and as an official entry for the 3rd runway Annual International AI Film Festival (AIFF) 2025. The film explores the impact of AI on workforce displacement, governance, and society through the journey of Ethan Carter, a displaced tech data analyst turned activist. Now unemployed, he navigates a dystopian reality set in the year 2032, even though real-life events take place in 2025, as he faces the harsh consequences of unregulated AI in the U.S. job market. We are seeking filmmakers or video editors to create a 9-10 minute fully AI-generated film. Submission Deadline for Review: March 28, 2025 Final Submission Deadline to AIFF: March 31, 2025 Award Potential: The winning film at AIFF 2025 is eligible for a grand prize of $15,000 in cash and 1,000,000 Runway credits. The full award will be granted entirely to the creator of the selected submission. Recognition & Revenue-Sharing Potential • AI Film Festival Credit: The selected filmmaker will receive full credit at the runway AI Film Festival in NYC and LA as the film's creator, ensuring recognition within the industry and exposure to potential collaborators, studios, and production companies.• Revenue-Sharing Opportunity: If the film is picked up for a larger production deal, the selected filmmaker will be considered for a revenue-sharing agreement, depending on the terms of the deal negotiated with producers, distributors, or streaming platforms. Film Specifications Length & Format The film must be 9-10 minutes long. It should be produced in landscape format (no portrait mode). The three intertwined story layers must be visually distinct yet seamlessly connected. AI-Generated Content The entire film must be AI-generated, incorporating high-quality generative video. AI-generated faces, environments, and sequences should maintain realistic cinematic quality. A seamless, continuous-shot feel is encouraged but not mandatory. AI Tool Disclosure Upon submission, filmmakers must disclose all AI tools used for video generation, editing, and audio processing. Character Specifications Main Character: Ethan Carter Description: White male, mid-30s, approximately 5'11", slim build, short blonde hair, blue eyes. Reference images can be found at: link Ethan's appearance must remain consistent throughout the film across different realities (dystopian present, virtual advocacy, past life). Storyboard Visuals A rough storyboard outlining the film structure, key visuals, and shot composition has been provided at: link These visuals can be used as a reference to maintain consistency in shot composition. Dialogue & Audio Requirements All dialogue must be recorded separately and submitted as high-quality MP3/WAV files (distinct from music and sound effects). AI-generated voiceovers are permitted, but they must have natural intonation and emotional depth. The soundtrack must be original or royalty-free – no copyrighted music is allowed. Narrative Structure The film must interweave three narrative layers, forming a compelling, interconnected storyline: 1. Dystopian Present: The AI-Driven Collapse Los Angeles, 2032 – AI dominates society, mass unemployment leaves millions displaced.Ethan Carter, once a successful AI industry analyst, is now jobless, living in a shelter, struggling to fight against the very system he helped create. 2. Virtual Parallel Reality: The Ideal World In his VR-induced fantasy, Ethan is a celebrated AI advocate, delivering speeches, shaping policies, and debating lawmakers on AI ethics. His dream world contrasts with his harsh reality, showing what could have been if AI had been regulated in time. 3. The Past: How It All Started Flashbacks from 10 years ago reveal Ethan’s life before AI reshaped the workforce. He warns of unchecked automation, but corporate greed and short-term thinking push him out of the industry, leaving him powerless against what’s coming. Key Scenes & Shot Breakdown Opening Shot (0:00 - 0:45) - Establishing the Dystopian Reality Shot: Wide aerial view of Los Angeles in 2032, neon AI-powered billboards flashing slogans: “AI: The Future is Now” — “Work Smarter, Not Harder” Sound Design: Distant hum of drones, automated cars, faint sirens. Focus: A homeless encampment—displaced white- and blue-collar workers huddle around fires, their faces illuminated by phone screens as they scroll through job listings that no longer require humans. Cut to: ETHAN CARTER, wearing a VR headset, lying on a worn-out mattress in a shelter. His reality is bleak—but inside his headset, another world unfolds. Scene 1 (0:45 - 2:00) - Entering the Parallel World (VR Sequence) Ethan’s POV inside VR: He’s a powerful public figure, addressing thousands at a political rally (akin to MLK’s "I Have a Dream" speech). Dialogue (V.O.): “We are at a crossroads. The rise of AI should not mean the fall of humanity. If we do nothing, we become remnants of the past. But together, we can ensure AI serves us—not replaces us.” Cut to Ethan shaking hands with senators, debating AI ethics in a high-profile political meeting. Visuals: A cinematic montage of his “ideal world” as a successful AI advocate. Soundtrack: A powerful orchestral buildup with digital distortions. Scene 2 (2:00 - 3:30) - Reality Check: The Harsh Present Ethan abruptly rips off his VR headset. Reality: A homeless shelter. A security guard announces that his time is up, and he has to leave. He grabs his backpack, stepping into the cold, AI-run city—ignored by pedestrians, passed by self-driving taxis. Cut to Job Center: Ethan sits across from a job counselor. Counselor (robotic tone): "I’m afraid analyst roles are obsolete. Have you considered reskilling?" Pamphlet handed to him: “Upskilling for the AI Age: Learn How to Fix Robots” Ethan’s defeated expression. Scene 3 (3:30 - 5:00) - The Flashback: How It All Started Corporate boardroom (10 years ago): Ethan, then a respected business intelligence director, presenting AI’s risks. Ethan: “If we let AI evolve unchecked, we’re not just streamlining businesses—we’re eliminating the workforce.” CEO laughs, dismisses him: “AI isn’t a threat, Ethan. It’s just... progress.” Security escorting Ethan out of the building. Career over. Smash cut: Ethan watching the news that same night—his company laying off 80% of staff, fully transitioning to AI. Close-up of his expression: Fear, realization. Scene 4 (5:00 - 7:00) - The Call to Action Ethan starts blogging, trying to warn people. He goes viral. News headlines: “The Man Fighting Against AI Takeover” “Displaced Workers Find Hope in AI Activist” Backlash Begins: Black SUVs following him. A mysterious message appears on his laptop: “DELETE EVERYTHING OR ELSE.” Tension builds as Ethan hesitates. Final dramatic decision: He uploads classified documents exposing AI corruption. The screen glitches—“File Upload: 100%” Camera zooms into his determined face. Final Shot (7:00 - 9:00) - To Be Continued... Montage: Ethan on the run. AI surveillance drones scanning city streets. VR world: Ethan back in his dream life, delivering a speech before Congress. Voice-over: “In one world, I have already won. In this one... the fight has just begun.” Text on Screen: The Fight for Humanity Begins. Closing Shot (9:00 - 10:00) - Post-Credits Tease Ethan’s phone buzzes. A new anonymous message appears: “You’re not alone. Keep fighting.” Camera zooms out—he’s no longer just a lone voice. FADE TO BLACK. Submission Details How to Submit Finalized AI-generated films must be submitted by March 28, 2025, for review. If your submission is selected, you will receive a confirmation email at our own discretion. Submit your completed project via a downloadable high-definition video link. Include separate audio MP3 tracks (one for dialogue, one for sound/music). Specify which AI tools were used in your email. Send submissions to: projectelysium2025@gmail.com Who We're Looking For Candidates with: Experience in filmography and storytelling. Proven expertise or strong familiarity with AI-generated content. Ability to deliver emotionally compelling narratives within tight deadlines. More About the TV Series This Film Aspires to Become Synopsis Project Elysium is a gripping and powerful drama inspired by real events. It follows the journey of an activist, a true advocate for ethical AI and job preservation, as he fights at the intersection of artificial intelligence, politics, and personal struggles. This series tells the real-life story of a man who lost everything due to the mass automation of the job market and embarked on a relentless battle to regulate AI before it’s too late. In the series, the main character is portrayed by Ethan Carter, an unemployed data analyst turned activist who finds himself on the front lines of the unchecked rise of AI and its devastating societal consequences. His journey in the series mirrors his real-life fight—an urgent and necessary plea to protect the future of work and humanity. The series weaves together three interlinked narratives, creating a multi-layered, emotionally charged story that blurs the boundaries between reality, memory, and hope: Layer 1: The Harsh Reality (Present Day) Ethan Carter is a man stripped of everything by the very technology he once supported. A once-respected data analyst, he lost his job, stability, and home due to being unable at reentering a saturated job market in tech after companies streamlined operations with AI and displaced thousands in 2024. Now homeless, Ethan is one of the few voices speaking out against unregulated AI, desperately trying to warn the world before it’s too late. But every attempt to raise awareness is met with indifference and powerful forces determined to silence him. Layer 2: The Parallel Reality (Virtual World) In his imagination, through the depiction of a Virtual Reality environment, Ethan escapes into a virtual vision of himself as a successful AI advocate. In this alternate world, he is neither ignored nor marginalized—he is an influential public figure, delivering impactful speeches, shaking hands with politicians, and shaping policy in ways the real world denies him. This alternate reality serves as both his refuge and his greatest torment, as every return to reality is a brutal shock. Layer 3: The Past (How Did He Get Here?) Through flashbacks, we uncover Ethan’s journey—from his rise in the tech industry to his dramatic downfall. Once a respected AI consultant and data analyst, he foresaw the dangers of unchecked automation. He tried to warn major corporations and policymakers, but his warnings were ignored—then he was blacklisted. These flashbacks ground the story in reality, showing how systemic forces led to the current crisis.  (Above outline registered on wgawregistry.org) Why This Film Matters Project Elysium is not just a sci-fi drama—it is a warning, a call to action, and a powerful narrative designed to influence the public debate on AI regulation in the United States. The series does not simply entertain; it compels viewers to reflect on the future of work, ethics, and the role of artificial intelligence in society. Through its innovative structure, Project Elysium constantly pushes viewers to ask: What is real? What is illusion? Can one man truly change the course of history in the face of AI? With a thrilling storyline, intense emotional moments, and a unique blend of dystopian realism and visionary hope, Project Elysium aims not only to reshape how AI is portrayed in the media—but also how it is understood in the real world. Why The Series Matters A compelling, real-world-inspired story tackling AI ethics & workforce displacement. A Visually stunning blend of AI-generated and real-shot footage, delivering deep emotional resonance.Designed to shape public discourse on AI regulation at the highest levels. The 10-minute concept film will serve as a proof of concept to bring Project Elysium to life as a fully developed TV series for global distribution.  Your creativity could help craft an innovative series poised to captivate global audiences and shape a future where AI ethics and governance take center stage in global civilization. Join us in making a groundbreaking statement on the future of AI and humanity.

Producer

Seeking producers in Bastia, France

I am currently working on a short film that I have written and in which I will be acting. As I am producing the movie myself with my own funds since December 2024, I will soon start shooting a couple of scenes this month and I am actively looking for a partner who would be interested in helping me funding this film. Set in the modern era and dealing with faith and the consequences of war on soldiers left behind, I intend on sending this short film to various festivals looking for projects dealing with these kind of subjects. I already have a sound designer, a camera operator, the whole cast and a sound engineer. I know, funding with your own money isn't necessarily the smartest move, BUT, after years of writing screenplays, talking with producers and managers trying to get myself out there, it is time for a big move. So yes, go big or go home. And this time, I'm planning on going for the move that will make a difference in my career. If you are interested in hearing about this project, it will be my pleasure to pitch it to you, otherwise, I guess you'll just have to wait a little bit before seeing it in a festival near you!
