Yes, the buffering was an issue but I never found a consistent way to solve it. Didn't want to upgrade to Resolve 19 in the middle of the project, but maybe it's better in the new version.

If you’re talking about DCP, they only allow for 1.85:1 (flat) or 2.39:1(scope).

Anything else you do must be prematted into one of those before the DCP is made.
