Hello everyone. I am probably the grandmother of the group. I am a 73 year old Viet Nam widow who has written my life in a two-hour feature film; from my toddler years through 2022; covering many misfortunes, including ethnical, societal, domestic and historical. Becoming a wife, mother and widow before the age of twenty-one. Through vast struggles, my story is full of laughter, tears, directions from above and prayers; all building a solid spiritual foundation. My life started in a rural community in North Carolina, (Blanch).
My book "The Cry That Wasn't Heard", is a ministry, first, therapy for the writer. Second, to encourage direction seekers. Third, for the young, broken hearted, seemingly hopeless generation. From the book, "Shaping A Soul" was born into a screenplay. A Faith Base Southern Docudrama.
There are many pivotal points, (good and bad) that will forever be a part of me; such as the death of my mother, taken in by loving elder cousins, being caught-up in a Civil Rights Demonstration, as a child enduring great segregation period, following my cousin's death was thrown off the family farm to live with an alcoholic father, my safe move to Washington, DC on November 22, 1963 while the world was mourning, having Roberta Flack for a music teacher, marrying the love of my life, losing my husband in Viet Nam, near fatality while giving birth in April 1968, during Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Assassination, a dream of encouragement from Dr. King, only to be disappointed in 1986 while taking my daughter to college in Vermont, we were denied dinner at a restaurant and lodging at a hotel where I had made reservations and a vacancy sign was in the window, being chased down by four policemen, one of the professors put us up in his pool house which was far more comfortable.
This is just a few of my tests that made me who I am today; one will never know how weighty their trials are until they reach the other side safely. I will always believe that experience and perseverance is the best teacher.
Unique traits: Showing love for others through my ministry.
