Shanese Shields is a lover of the arts and currently writes, directs, acts, and produces films in Atlanta, GA. She’s dedicated the last twelve years to teaching and mentoring At Risk youth. She still teaches a few hours a week; but is concentrating more on her love for the arts and creating unique journals, planners, and coloring books for her Amazon store.
Her first stage performance was as a Nun in the Sound of Music in 1997. Since then, she has been in several commercials, plays, short-films, a docuseries/reality TV show, and a Game Show. She fell in love with directing while in college, as she felt it gave her more creative freedom and control. She also interned at Disney World in 2001 and was a contestant on Family Feud in 2017. In 2020, she conquered several of her fears by volunteering to go to jail to see how the jail coped with people with medical issues and food allergies & intolerances like her, on Season 6 of 60 Days In.
The experience in jail is what made her start her production company, Klazzy Kre8tions Production Company and start writing films. She learned so much about people and heard so many amazing, yet sad stories, it made her want to write. She also wanted the ability to craft her own stories and use the film industry to do more than simply entertain; her mission is to provide quality film and television projects that aim to Empower, Educate, Inspire and Entertain.
