Tomorro'w's ASK ME ANYTHING (AMA) is going to be awesome!
Kenneth Lui, Filmmaker, Editor, and Professional VFX Artist (BATMAN V. SUPERMAN, CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY), will be hosting a 24-Hour Ask Me Anything ("AMA") from 2/7 to 2/8 in the Post-Production Lounge, focused on "Working in VFX".
Here is a link so you can join and ask Kenneth all of your questions about visual effects and how to incorporate VF, and manage the process, on your own projects : https://www.stage32.com/lounge/post_production/Ask-Me-Anything-AMA-Wedne...
This is a great opportunity for the community to learn more about how to get started in VFX, what tech and tools to pay attention to, the best ways to learn, what Kenneth's experiences have been like in the industry overall or while working on major tent-pole projects, how filmmakers should choose which VFX artists to hire, how to communicate and work with VFX artists, etc.
And if you want to learn even more from Kenneth, or prepare for his AMA, here is a link to his recent Stage 32 webinar called VISUAL EFFECTS 101:

oh wow I admit this looks sick especially for a revamped version but definitely not in my range!

Overpriced novelty. If you want the Super 8 look, but a Super 8 camera off eBay for a few hundred bucks and some film. There are still places that process. Or just buy an original Blackmagic Cinema camera from a 10+ years ago. Super organic look straight out of camera.

I loved my old Super 8 camera. Agree with Stephen Folker that there are easier ways to accomplish this look but making those old first little films was amazing.

Stephen Folker My first movie camera was a Super 8 camera I got from a yard sale for $5. Now, adjusting for inflation, $30. The price is extreme on this.

Nathan Woodward for real! I personally own about a half dozen super 8 cameras. They are easy to come by, and don't look as great as people think. It's 8mm. But for something fun to try, it's pretty do...
Expand commentNathan Woodward for real! I personally own about a half dozen super 8 cameras. They are easy to come by, and don't look as great as people think. It's 8mm. But for something fun to try, it's pretty dope! I'd much rather have a nice Super 16mm camera. Wait, that'll be next on Kodak's list of bring back cameras, but it'll be $9500 or some absurd price.
