Does any one have any recommendations for books or YT for writing musicals? May have dug myself a hole when I had a discussion with a couple of actors on a short I wrote that I would write a short musical, two songs, 10 mins short. I think I've bitten off more than I can chew.... Help!

I saw a hip hop version of 'Othello' by the Q Brothers (they are based in Chicago) at Shakespeare's Globe many years ago. While that may not necessarily help with your question, it was brilliant, possibly music genre choice.
The creatives behind 'Anna and the Apocalypse' might have some content kicking about on the internet.
