About Samir
I like to write stories that are entertaining but also have socially conscious themes including issues such as mental health issues, inclusion and equality and diversity. I also am the head producer for our film company and deals with all aspects of production. I am happy to part of the stage 32 community as they have incredible seminars for teaching and improving on all aspects of film making.
Unique traits: I am a medical doctor, a forensic psychiatrist by background and therefore have knowledge about the human condition and issues that affect people fundamentally and believe filmmaking as an art form entertains first and foremost but also educates. I love to work with children creatively as well as adults when creating stories as children have unique energy and bring so much charachter and energy to the screen as in our second short film @Take the Chocolate. I also like highlight every day situations that can seriously affect people’s mental health such as romantic breakups which will be depicted in our upcoming feature film, “Your heart and My Soul”.
