How To Network Successfully On Stage 32

The industry is rapidly changing, but no matter what your skill set or goals, one thing always remains true in entertainment: it's all about 'who you know'.
At the center of everything that Stage 32 does is our global community. As you know, this platform is free to join and connect with people at various stages of their careers. No matter what is happening in the world, you can still join in this community and connect with others, so that you have allies that you can turn to for support and collaboration when you need it. We've had countless success stories in the 10+ years that Stage 32 has existed, including the last few months which are great examples of community-generated successes.
Lounges And Profiles
We're always encouraging members of Stage 32 to make a splash in the Lounges and for good reason! It's the fastest way to start meeting people and building your contacts. Every month, we have an Introduce Yourself Weekend specifically to meet and celebrate members both new and old. This is where Maurice Vaughan managed to connect with a producer, build that relationship, and now has a shopping agreement for an unscripted project. But you don't have to wait for the next Introduce Yourself Weekend (starting May 19, 2023), you can jump into the Lounges and start meeting people today!
Branding Yourself On Stage 32
Stage 32 member Ronika Merl has been a longtime user of the platform, and actually wrote several blogs for us last year. By going beyond creating a profile and actually using the blog to build a name, or "brand", she was able to connect with an LA producer who had read her work and reached out. After meeting and discussing various projects, Ronika and the producer have since joined forces to make a feature film. Ronika announced that she would be making her feature film directin debut earlier this year and it was all sparked by that connection made through Stage 32.
Services on Stage 32
Whether you're honing your craft through Stage 32 Education or getting feedback on your script or pitch through Stage 32 Script Services, those opportunities are great ways to connect with industry professionals. Just this year, we've had screenwriters land a development agreement, another writer enter a production agreement, and the co-host of the Writers' Room Pitch Practice headed into production on a feature, all because of connections made through Stage 32 Script Services and Education (be sure to read this official statement from Stage 32 about how you can use these tools today).
These examples are just scratching the surface of who you can meet and what you can accomplish through meeting people on Stage 32.
