The Stage 32 3rd Annual Oscar Contest had a record number of entries this year. Thank you to all who participated.

We’ve tallied the results and now it’s time to announce the winners. Not only do we have a 9-way tie for 2nd place (all will receive prizes), but we also have a 27-way tie for 3rd place! Originally we were going to give out prizes to the top 10, but the results were so impressive we've chosen to give out prizes to all the Stage 32 members below.

Big congratulations to Jovanni Ibarra for taking home the top prize with 21 correct!

And, who got 19 correct this year? That would be me. (Damn you BIG HERO 6...And damn me for changing my best original screenplay choice from my beloved BIRDMAN to GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL)

Our thanks to all who entered and congratulations to our winners.

Please email julie@stage32.com to claim your prize!

Cheers!

Awesome! I missed four categories - original screeplay, film editing, animated feature and animated short film. I changed two of them ugh. I could've had 22/24. I hope to get every category correct ...one day maybe :p

Do I get a point for next year if I predict that the broadcast will have new producers and bring back Billy Crystal as host? I also got jobbed by Big Hero 6, Birdman for screenplay over Grand Budapest (although I have no problem with that), but I'm kicking myself over going with the "experts" who picked BOYHOOD (????) for Best Editing when my gut told me - right up til the last minute - that WHIPLASH would win - and deservedly so. In any event - congrats to all my fellow 3rd Placers. I'd also like to thank my children who inspire me, all my ex-agents and the A listers who have yet to star in one of my screenplays and get me on the nominees list.

Thanks for setting up this contest - lots of fun! I thought I got 20 correct instead of 19 - could you double check. Also, how do we let you know what we would like for the prizes? Thanks again!

This is awesome!!! Thank you! :) It all really boiled down to Best Picture, Director and Actor. I paid attention to the DGA, PGA, and SGA, and I couldn't budge from Birdman, Alejandro and Eddie. Thank you again. :) Damn Birdman for Screenplay! I was really banking on The Grand Budapest Hotel! :)

Congrats, winners. Prerequisites of the prize require you to reveal your formula. LOL (The best I could have done, was maybe 16/24. I saw so few of them at this point. I changed my vote from IDA (stupid, since I was at a screening with the director), did not know that Big Hero Six was PIxar, and I did not know that The Phone Call starred Sally Hawkins (I thought the pic looked like her). Given that info, I would have had at minimum 16/24. Tough year, but there have been worse. :-)
