Holidays are often a time for family, celebrations, and even a bit of magic, and holiday scripts uniquely capture the wonder and excitement of those occasions. All-time classics like LOVE ACTUALLY and HOME ALONE warm our hearts and bring us a sense of nostalgia, while unconventional holiday stories like DIE HARD and KRAMPUS explore unique ways into the holiday season. Audiences are always ready for that next holiday movie hit -- and we want it be YOURS!

If you have a Holiday story that needs to be told, now is the time to show us what you've got, because our goal is to amplify your voice, give you the access Stage 32 is known for, and take your writing career to the next level!

Our Grand Prize winner will be flown to LA for meetings (travel permitting) to meet with:

  • Nick Phillips, Producer, PBR Streetgang (THIS CHRISTMAS, HALLOWEEN RESURRECTION)
  • Kristen Lucas, Producer & Manager, Goldilocks Productions & The Bohemia Group (client credits include MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING 3, HATEFUL EIGHT)
  • Robin Galloway, Manager & Producer, Gramercy Park Entertainment (THE ROOKIE, FRACTURE)
  • Stacia Crawford, Director (worked for NETFLIX & LIFETIME, A UNICORN FOR CHRISTMAS)

Hello to the Stage32 community! I'm an aspiring screenwriter who is interested in participating in the upcoming Holiday Screenwriting Contest. While I have a few drafts in progress, I haven't written my first formal and formatted script yet. So, I have some questions to ensure that I'm on the right track and adhering to standard policies, procedures, and formatting. Would someone kindly direct me to the appropriate links or tag me in relevant posts that would help me identify the steps to proceed? Additionally, I have a few specific questions: 1. Is it possible to submit a co-written script for the contest? 2. Do all co-writers need to be members of Stage 32? 3. If so, what is the proper way or space on the platform to invite others to join my screenwriting team? 4. Are there any templates or safety measures that are typically used in the industry to establish trust and protect the intellectual property of co-writers? I would appreciate any guidance or advice the community can offer. Thank you in advance for your help! I am very grateful for your time. Sincerely, Candina Ann

Glad that Stage 32 launched a holiday screenwriting contest, David! I have a holiday script that just needs a few rewrites. I might even write a new script for the contest.
