Summary

You’ve probably heard that the secret to good writing is rewriting. Truer words have never been spoken, particularly when it comes to your crafting your second draft.

The leap from your first draft to second draft is crucial in producing a compelling and marketable script. It is critical you understand how to approach your second draft as professional writers do to actually elevate your work and move the needle on your film and/or television script getting produced.

In this exclusive Stage 32 webinar, you will learn how to identify problems with your script, how to fix those problems, and how to implement third-party notes all in an effort to elevate the second draft of your script.

Over the course of 90 minutes, award-winning writer/director/producer Brian Herskowitz will take you through the fundamentals of taking a good script and making it great. Brian has written and produced for both TV and film and has worked on sitcoms, hour series, and feature films. He is a member of the Writer’s Guild of America and the Producer’s Guild of America and has written for over 2 dozen films and televison shows for most major studios.

In this detailed webinar, Brian will teach you how to identify what to cut (and when you should cut it), what to add, and whether the script's issues are structural, character, or logic driven. This webinar gives an overview of the rewrite process and offers tools to correct errors and make your second draft SOAR.
