Hey Aspiring Animators, Cee here. As you already know, I've been working on my first animated feature, "Ryder & The Deer Guardians", which I'm now in talks with someone who works at a major production company that I sadly cannot confirm at this moment. However, I still need development funding to ac...

I've written an animated feature romance, geared to teens, young adults, and romance fans. Entitled "Not In This Life," here's the logline: A uniquely animated young adult feature film, tracking two souls, unable to wed as Russian Jews in 1840, failing again when reincarnated as Chinese immigrants i...
Expand postI would suggest making it a graphic novel to display the styles you are referencing and see if that either lands you a publisher or an audience if you self-publish.
I thought this was a really cool initiative announced on Deadline. Animation for a cause: https://deadline.com/2024/04/julia-louis-dreyfus-point-grey-pictures-tangles-1235874108/amp/
I am prepping to produce and direct a documentary on the Disney Animation Studio that was in Florida and thought I'd revisit a doc that was done about the California Studio. I haven't seen it since it's first release in 2009. WAKING SLEEPING BEAUTY is produced by prolific producer Don Hahn (BEAUTY A...

Expand commentI'd never heard of this , sounds like a worthwhile documentary to have on my radar thanks Laurie Ashbourne
if you’re looking for people to interview, be sure to reach out to Aaron Blaise and the Bancroft Brothers.
Mike Boas Aaron is one of my very good friends. Tom and Tony are certainly a part of that story.
The quality of the cinematics, which is actual gameplay, is almost at the point of bridging the uncanny valley. With the tools becoming increasingly more powerful, and game engines providing real-time rendering, have any of you considered telling your stories in an interactive format instead of line...
Expand postI haven't considered it (telling my stories in an interactive format), but I will now, Daniel Husbands. Thanks for the idea!
That looks pretty good. I think there are still some weight issues that need to be worked out. There were a couple of shots in there when the physics still didn't look quite right.
I like character driven games, such as Mass Effect and some of the Tomb Raider games, where cinematics and gameplay mesh together in a interactive movie kinda way. Ashley Renee Smith your absolutely r...

This project looks so good! I've never read the graphic novel, but I'm adding it to my reading list ASAP. I love when animation is used to explore storytelling without the limitations of live-action. Showcasing the complicated nature of how Alzheimer's can warp a person's reality is a complicated un...
Expand postAshley Renee Smith hi! love this share so much! thrilling project all around. i love the use of animation for difficult topics. have you seen If anything happens, I love you?
This sounds like an amazing project. I hope they can get good distribution for it or it finds a home on a streaming service so people actually have the opportunity to see it.
Brian Smith, I hope that with the caliber of people involved, it will have an easy pathway to a streamer. Fingers crossed!
Marsy Robinson, yes, it's beautiful! I love the shadowy animation style. It made me cry.
I'm not going to lie, this is pretty exciting. I was bummed to hear that Red vs. Blue was coming to an end, but a movie is a great way to wrap up such a long-running and popular series. I can't imagine my middle-school years and even early YouTube without Red vs. Blue. Plus it's releasing on my birt...
Expand postIt's definitely an exciting project, but I'm sure it's bittersweet for the Rooster Teeth team since it's happening at the same time that the company is coming to an end. But what a way to go out!
Exactly - a big grand finale. I know some of the folks who have worked there and they are really good people.
True, Bob Harper!
Hello everyone its been a few weeks since i last been here i was sick but it wasn't with covid just allergies. the reason why i am posting tonight is that there are no voice actors near me that are interested in voicing my characters... i always loved a animated series since i was a kid but i am goi...

That is some very interesting visuals, kind of a dream like state. I could see this applicable to someone dreaming or hallucinating. Very cool!

for someone who grew up with the muppets and muppet babies, I’m surprised Disney has never thought about making a pre-teen muppet animated series base off the beloved muppets. Sure this may seem like a lazy move to keep the franchise alive, but I can see this running for maybe three to four seasons...
Expand postThis would be a great idea. I think the Muppets Mayhem Series on Disney+, not living up to the ratings they wanted, has shied Disney away from getting too experimental with The Muppets. They dropped the ball after the reboot Movies when they were riding high again.
This idea could be huge if Disney can learn to focus on the kids and not try to cater to other audiences at the same time. I think that parents are also weary of what shows might be teaching their kids, but done right still a lot of potential there.
100%, Sam Sokolow!

Expand commentIf anyone in the Phoenix, AZ metro area is looking for a van for they own mobile studio, my neighbor, Steve, just told me today that he's selling his conversion van. It's pretty nice inside...carpeted, bed/bench, captain's chair in the middle, and it even has a high top, too! It needs some work - the passenger seat is wobbly, and the convertible bed/bench in back is up on 2x4's. But... if you're handy and need a mobile studio, you could fix it up. (The running board is also a bit loose.) It's a Ford Econoline 250, and it's got 187,000 miles on it, but he says it still runs well. He's got clean title in hand. We're having a neighborhood garage sale this Saturday, and he said if it doesn't sell it by then, he's just going to put a "For Sale" sign in his window. (I'm in south Chandler/ Sun Lakes neighborhood.)
