I created an animation and voice over studio in the back of my campervan (pic included)

I put an animation and voice-over studio in the back of my van, so now I have a mobile animation and podcast studio!

Bob Harper

Really neat! You can do driveby voiceovers!

Marsy Robinson

jealous! love an office that can be anywhere!

Brian Smith

That's the nicest recording studio I've ever seen!

Niki Gagliano

Thanks, everyone! I appreciate the kind and supportive words. I will definitely let you know how things progress!

Development funding for holiday anime

Hey Aspiring Animators, Cee here. However, I still need development funding to ac...

Is There a Market for "Not In This Life"?

I've written an animated feature romance, geared to teens, young adults, and romance fans. Entitled "Not In This Life," here's the logline: A uniquely animated young adult feature film, tracking two souls, unable to wed as Russian Jews in 1840, failing again when reincarnated as Chinese immigrants i...

I would suggest making it a graphic novel to display the styles you are referencing and see if that either lands you a publisher or an audience if you self-publish.

Daniel Broderick

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm afraid illustration is not something I do, nor is self-publishing. I did a look book to display my vision of the film (including all three styles), but it pretty much languishes on my computer.

Daniel Husbands

I think that there is a market for everything, just depends on where and how big. With the widely varying characters, times, and locations it may appeal to all three demographics, or be viewed as not having a specific enough target audience.

Waking sleeping beauty

I am prepping to produce and direct a documentary on the Disney Animation Studio that was in Florida and thought I'd revisit a doc that was done about the California Studio. Film - Game - Both?

The quality of the cinematics, which is actual gameplay, is almost at the point of bridging the uncanny valley. I haven't considered it (telling my stories in an interactive format), but I will now, Daniel Husbands. Thanks for the idea!

That looks pretty good. I think there are still some weight issues that need to be worked out. There were a couple of shots in there when the physics still didn't look quite right.

Same! I love the Tomb Raider and Uncharted games! My favorite franchise is actually the God of War games. I don't even know how many times I've played GOW 3.

Uncharted did a really good job of bringing that film feel to games. Netflix is experimenting with storytelling in the other direction, interactive films. Anyone try it?

Sarah Leavitt’s graphic novel Tangles: A Story About Alzheimer’s, My Mother and Me, is coming to the big screen as a feature-length animated film!

This project looks so good! I've never read the graphic novel, but I'm adding it to my reading list ASAP. I love when animation is used to explore storytelling without the limitations of live-action. Showcasing the complicated nature of how Alzheimer's can warp a person's reality is a complicated un...

Brian Smith

This sounds like an amazing project. I hope they can get good distribution for it or it finds a home on a streaming service so people actually have the opportunity to see it.

Ashley Renee Smith

Brian Smith, I hope that with the caliber of people involved, it will have an easy pathway to a streamer. Fingers crossed!

Ashley Renee Smith

Marsy Robinson, yes, it's beautiful! I love the shadowy animation style. It made me cry.

‘Red Vs. Blue’ To Wrap Its Final Season With Full-Length Feature Film; Release Date Set

Happy for the team at Rooster Teeth. They've been making really cool stuff for a long time.

Ashley Renee Smith

It's definitely an exciting project, but I'm sure it's bittersweet for the Rooster Teeth team since it's happening at the same time that the company is coming to an end. But what a way to go out!

Sam Sokolow

Exactly - a big grand finale. I know some of the folks who have worked there and they are really good people.

Muppet Kids the animated series?

for someone who grew up with the muppets and muppet babies, I’m surprised Disney has never thought about making a pre-teen muppet animated series base off the beloved muppets. Sure this may seem like a lazy move to keep the franchise alive, but I can see this running for maybe three to four seasons...

Bob Harper

This would be a great idea. I think the Muppets Mayhem Series on Disney+, not living up to the ratings they wanted, has shied Disney away from getting too experimental with The Muppets. They dropped the ball after the reboot Movies when they were riding high again.

Daniel Husbands

This idea could be huge if Disney can learn to focus on the kids and not try to cater to other audiences at the same time. I think that parents are also weary of what shows might be teaching their kids, but done right still a lot of potential there.

Sam Sokolow

The world needs more Kermit, Fozzie and Miss Piggy any way we can get them.
