Hello good people of Stage32. Your time is very valuable, so I will not waste time:
Any advice on how to get my project off the ground?

Richard "RB" Botto I left a review, quite some time ago and I’m now using your book as a means to crowdsource my animated urban fantasy series. Thank you, RB.
I remember it well, Geoff Hall and I remain grateful. Couldn't be more thrilled it's still paying dividends. Sending all the positive vibes for the series!
Thanks for sharing, James Hoey! It's going to be a great one!

Adding to what Christopher said, a movie or TV show will have a “Clearance Coordinator “ who will reach out to companies to obtain permission for use, and all this will be mentioned in the report. Sho...

Now we know what Denis Villeneuve’s next (non-Dune) project will be.
It’s based on the book, “Nuclear War: A Scenario” by Annie Jacobsen. The book was a Pulitzer Prize finalist. I obviously move in the wrong literary circles, because I’ve never heard of Jacobsen. I suppose one company’s successful I...

So, I am not gonna go into much detail, but I had my pitch session right at the end of my job, and it went really well! I almost fumbled it, I was extremely nervous, but in the end I came through and the listener said they were surprised with how much I had built my world even for it's genre! Will keep it posted
Great to hear, Justin Groats. Way to go!
Love to hear it! Every pitch you make is a building block for your career and helps you get better at it!

Expand commentJacqueline Smith Line producers are like CPAs for the production. They work on budgeting and logistics and make sure the production stays on budget. The exec producer would hire a line producer to develop a budget in the pre-production stage. If you were looking to producer your own movie, then you might want to consultant with a line producer to put together a detailed budget as part of a pitch to raise financing.

"facilitation fee" would be absolutely a sign of sleeze. Even some "legitimate" producing companies want to charge you for the honor of having them insinuate themselves into your project just in case it goes anywhere.

No idea what Stage32 do (if anything) to prevent this kind of attempted exploitation? It is possible others have been 'scammed' already!
