About Shenita

It is difficult to nail down all the little details that make Dr. Shenita Etwaroo who she is. As a philanthropist, she has spent her entire life focusing on the many needs of others. She has developed a spirit of true charity and goodwill, in part by deepening her personal sensitivity to the suffering of others, her ability to empathize, and the guiding light that is her relationship with Jesus Christ. As an activist, Shenita brings heavy hitting defenses and a no-nonsense attitude to the world theater of animal rights and human rights campaigns. She also credits her relationship with God for her sense of activism. Throughout her life, she has been traumatized in more ways than most people can imagine. Growing up with an abusive dad, Shenita witnessed his horrible treatment of her beloved late mother, Shirley Savitree annd her pets, and became determined that she would help animals, women and children in her situation later in life. After experiencing first-hand, for many years, truly repugnant bullying and abuse at the hands of people she once trusted, Shenita entered a particularly dark time in her life. Once she emerged, thanks to the help of God and her pet rabbit Neon, she became even more determined to help the animals and people who have been abused , and victimized due to mental illness. Her remarkable passion for all living things has led her to a lifestyle that is strictly vegan, and she lives it as a philosophy of truth and engages intellectually with her community to make them better informed and to better inform her veganism. Taking only a plant-based diet, she has been able to overcome some of her worst health crises and become strong enough to fight for those that cannot fight for themselves. Shenita has been an animal rights activist as well as a human rights activist for many very years and takes to the issues with everything she has in order to bring justice and equality to all God's creatures. She will soon launch many new book publications, including various self-help books, Christian, and human rights books, as well. Shenita feels the absence of her beloved mother and Neon every day, but also feels the love and warmth and guidance they once gave to her. She derives hope from these things and through the faithful acts of her peers, who she is always willing to lend a helping hand. Her influence spreads as she keeps climbing skyward, never looking back, always looking on herself with humility and seeking a better understanding of the world so that she can better serve it. A philanthropist, a writer, an activist, a vegan, a daughter, a fur-mom, Shenita is indeed difficult to pin down.
